I have been thinking for a while about all those energy bar recipes I see online, and three weekends ago I finally decided to give some of them a try.
I ended up trying 4 in total, and this honey energy bars I am sharing with you today is by far, my favourite. The honey flavour is delicious and I recognize it’s difficult to stop eating them!
I am also sure that after preparing and trying them you are not going to buy them again at the supermarket. These are a hundred times more delicious and healthy! Same idea when I published these two recipes a while ago about granola: my basic recipe and the granola with pecans and goji berries.
INGREDIENTS
120 gr (1 cup) all-purpose flour
115 gr (½ cup) unsalted butter
90 gr (1 cup) rolled oats
60 gr (⅔ cups) unsweetened coconut flakes
3 tbsp honey
1 tbsp water
METHOD
Preheat oven to 160º C (325ºF). In a bowl combine oats, and flour. Set aside.
Now, in a saucepan over medium heat stir together butter, honey, and water until the butter is melted. Add this mixture to the oats bowl and mix well.
Transfer to a pan and press it down firmly. Bake for 15-20 min. Cool before cutting into 8.
I hope you enjoy these energy honey bars!
